FAWE Rwanda in partnership with BDF Rwanda and with funding from Mastercard Foundation has conducted a second round of Start your Business training to its scholars under the scholars’ program. The Foundation established a two-million ($2M) US dollar Scholars Entrepreneurship Fund (SEF) to support viable Scholars’ projects that provide solutions to needs identified in their communities. Selection of the projects to be funded was done through a competitive and transparent process. Out of the over 100 scholars that applied for this fund only 29 were selected.
The scholars’ businesses shall kick off beginning of October after site visits have been made. The scholars shall be given 50% of their total project capital as startup as soon as proof for registration is provided.
One of the participants being awarded a certificate after the completion of the Start your Business training by the National Coordinator of FAWE Rwanda
